My Tribunal Support Process
1. Initial Consultation
We start with a conversation about your concerns, your child’s current EHCP, and what support you’re hoping to secure through the appeal. This is your space to talk, ask questions, and feel heard.
2. Document Review
I carefully read through the EHCP, school reports, therapy notes and any previous assessments. This helps me spot what’s missing, what needs strengthening, and where further evidence will make the biggest difference.
3. Comprehensive OT Assessment
Your child is at the heart of this process. I carry out a holistic assessment that explores:
-
Sensory processing
-
Motor skills
-
Emotional regulation
-
Attention and focus
-
Functional and independence skills
-
Access to learning in real‑world environments
This gives us a clear, rounded understanding of their needs.
4. Expert Report
You receive a detailed, easy‑to‑understand, legally‑defensible report with specific and quantified recommendations. It’s written to support your Tribunal case and to clearly explain what your child needs to thrive.
5. Working With Your Legal Team
I liaise directly with your solicitor or advocate so that all evidence is aligned, consistent, and ready for the hearing. Everyone stays on the same page.
6. Expert Witness Attendance
I attend the hearing — online or in person — to provide professional testimony and answer Tribunal questions with clarity and confidence.
7. Post‑Tribunal Support
After the decision, I can help you understand the outcome, review the updated EHCP, or support the implementation of recommendations so your child receives the provision they deserve.

What My Assessment Involves
I build a detailed, holistic picture of your child by gathering information from parents and carers, school staff and other professionals, standardised assessment tools, and direct observations in school and other environments.
School observations may explore:
• Attention and concentration
• Emotional regulation
• Transitions and changes in routine
• Peer relationships and social participation
• Executive functioning
• Demand avoidance
• Participation in classroom tasks, playtimes and school routines
I use creative, child‑friendly approaches to help children feel comfortable and understood.
Your child’s strengths and challenges deserve to be seen, heard and valued.
